Sparks fly at the First Soca Royale |

| Crop Over is here and titles have been claimed in Barbados. The very first Soca Royale which now replaces East Coast Road Party Monarch was the place to be. TC won fair and square by winning with her song Down the road. Judges gave TC 450 points, holding onto her title from last year. In 2nd place was Mikey coming close with 440 points. Controversy has been sparked as the Sweet Soca Monarch winner TC was booed by unhappy people in the crowd.
The Party Monarch Crown was taken by Blood who also Won Soca Royale overall due to default. The Soca Royale Winner was meant to be battled out between the Sweet Soca Monarch winner and the Party Monarch winner but due to the reaction to TC’s win, she did not re-appear on stage for the showdown between herself and Blood.
