1- Where are you from?
I was born in the U.K, my mother is from Barbados and my father is from Jamaica so I have strong Caribbean roots.
2- How long have you been on the music scene?
I have been on the music scene since I was seven years old!! I first started off singing gospel and R&B, I entered shows as I got older such as Urban Voices, UK Un-Signed and The “291” Shows. From a child I was going to Barbados every summer holiday and spent time with my family; and from spending time in Barbados during the ‘Crop Over’ season I fell I n love with Soca music. It wasn’t until I was 17 that I realised I had the potential to start singing Soca music.
3- Who are your musical influences?
Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Beyonce Knowles I have amazing voices!! They are all very talented individuals, so they defiantly have a strong musical influence on me.
In the soca world people like Alison Hinds, Edwin Yearwood and Biggie Irie have been strong musical influences. I love the fact that they raise the bar every year! Just as you think they can not top their latest song they always prove you wrong!
4- Who would you most like to work with?
Very hard question!! For a little while I have been saying to myself that I would love to work with Kerwin Du Bois or Zan! Both of their voices are unique and I think would mesh very well with mine, possibly on a groovy soca track or a soca ballad.
5- If you were invisible for a day, what would you do?
If I was invisible for a day I would … errrmmmmm I don’t know!!
I would probably go maliciousing in other people’s business lool lool
6- Favourite hobbies?
Singing! This is probably obvious!!
I also enjoy reading… My favourite authors is Malorie Blackman and Eric Jerome Dickey.
7- What is the last CD/ book you bought?
The last book I bought was Dan Brown ‘Deception Point’
I have not bought a CD for the longest time!! However the last song I purchased on I-Tunes was Jay Z ft. Kanye and Rihanna- Run this town
8- What is your most embarrassing moment?
In a band rehearsal in Barbados….. I was singing away as usual and when I had finished my sound check I fell all the way down the stage stairs. It was very very embarrassing lol I don’t know if the band member knew whether to help me or laugh. They all laughed at me though, and won’t let me forget it!
9- Favourite TV show?
I’m addicted to Desperate Housewives! I wish it was a regular show that came on every week, rather than in seasons.
10- Favourite food?
I Love Salted Popcorn!! Washed down with a nice can of Coke :D
